Nuevo trabajo discográfico latin jazz producido por Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival y Syntonia - Jazz di Marca
Confidences – Mirko Fait 5et
Mirko Fait, en este nuevo trabajo discográfico latin jazz, incluye los temas más íntimos, confidencias de una vida en la música. Temas que se distinguen por las melodías cautivadoras que hacen que su música sea tanto para neófitos como para apasionados del jazz.
Producido por Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival y Syntonia - Jazz di Marca, es un mix entre los ritmos brasileños, gracias al encuentro con Rodrigo Amaral que se ha ocupado de la dirección artística y de los arreglos, y la gran pasión del saxofonista: el cool jazz y la bossa nova de los años 50 y 60 (Tom Jobim, Chet Baker, Sergio Mendes, Miles Davis).
Antonio Zambrini, al piano, teje las tramas armónicas con sabiduría y gran fantasía, sólidamente ancladas al ritmo chispeante del batería Roby Giannella y del bajista brasileño. A esto se añade el trabajo refinado de solistas como Roberto Piermartire (trompetista de los Avion Travel) y el invitado especial Giampiero Spina (guitarrista de la orquesta Monday).
Ocho temas originales de Mirko Fait y dos covers, uno de Pino Daniele y otro de Toquinho. Cuatro temas cantados por la poderosa, maravillosa y penetrante voz de Rodrigo Amaral.
Y por último, Mirko Fait, con la voz instrumental de su saxo, recuerda el sonido y la búsqueda melódica de Stan Getz en sus improvisaciones.
Este quinteto ofrece calidad y estilo, un sonido refinado y actual, pero al mismo tiempo cercano a las tradiciones, músicas que podrían perfectamente proceder de un club de la West Coast, de un desfile de moda, de una publicidad o de la última película de Woody Allen.

Confidences – Mirko Fait 5et
Mirko Fait, dans ce nouvel album, renferme les morceaux les plus intimes, les confidences d'une vie en musique. Morceaux qui se distinguent par des mélodies attachantes qui le rendent varié et amusant adapté aussi bien aux néophytes qu’aux passionnés de jazz.
Fabriqué par Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival et Syntonia - Jazz di Marca, il est un mélange entre les rythmes brésiliens, grâce à la rencontre avec Rodrigo Amaral qui a supervisé la direction artistique et les arrangements, et la grande passion du saxophoniste, le cool jazz et la bossa nova des années 50 et 60 (Tom Jobim, Chet Baker, Sergio Mendes, Miles Davis).
Antonio Zambrini, au piano, en tissa savamment et avec grande fantaisie les trames harmoniques, solidement ancrées au rythme pétillant du batteur Roby Giannella et du bassiste brésilien. A celles-ci s’ajoute la douce broderie des solistes comme Roberto Piermartire, trompettiste du groupe Avion Travel et l’invité spécial Giampiero Spina, le guitariste de l'orchestre Monday.
Huit morceaux originaux de Mirko Fait et deux reprises, une de Pino Daniele et une de Toquinho. Quatre morceaux chantés par la très belle et puissante voix incisive de Rodrigo Amaral. Finalement Mirko Fait qui avec la voix instrumentale de son sax rappelle le son et la recherche mélodique de Stan Getz dans ses improvisations.
Ce quintet renferme en soi qualité et style, un son raffiné et actuel mais intimement lié à la tradition, des musiques qui pourraient très bien sortir d’un club sur la Côte Ouest, d’un défilé de mode, d’une publicité ou du dernier film de Woody Allen.

Confidences – Mirko Fait 5et
Mirko Fait, in this new latin jazz album, gathers the most intimate pieces, the confidences of a life in music. Pieces that are distinguished by endearing melodies that make it varied and fun, adapted to neophytes as well as jazz enthusiasts.
Produced by Sant'Elpidio Jazz Festival and Syntonia - Jazz di Marca, is a mix between Brazilian rhythms, thanks to the encounter with Rodrigo Amaral who supervised the artistic direction and arrangements, and the great passion of the saxophonist, cool jazz and bossa nova of the 50s and 60s (Tom Jobim, Chet Baker, Sergio Mendes, Miles Davis).
Antonio Zambrini, at the piano, wove wisely and with great fantasy the harmonic canvas, solidly anchored to the sparkling rhythm of the drummer Roby Giannella and the Brazilian bassist. To these are added the gentle embroidery of soloists such as Roberto Piermartire, trumpet player of the Avion Travel band and special guest Giampiero Spina, guitarist of the Monday orchestra.
Eight original pieces by Mirko Fait and two covers, one of Pino Daniele and one of Toquinho. Four pieces sung by the very beautiful and powerful incisive voice of Rodrigo Amaral. Last but not least, Mirko Fait who, with the instrumental voice of his sax, recalls the sound and melodic research of Stan Getz in his improvisations.
This quintet holds quality and style, a refined and modern sound yet intimately linked to the tradition, music that could very well come out of a club on the West Coast, a fashion show, an advertisement or the last film by Woody Allen.

Movies Key sextet: emotional music for synchronization.
The title of this album by the Milanese saxophonist could not have been more appropriate.Soundtrack Emotions talks indeed, in an instrumental way, about emotions, with music that goes, imaginarily, from Fellini’s dream to Truffaut’s noir, from oriental ethnic to the jazz atmospheres of big American cities. These are the soundtracks of films not yet written, not yet shot, but which, with their magical feel, could very well be taken from movies directed by Woody Allen, Pedro Almodovar, David Lynch , Michelangelo Antonioni and many other great directors of international cinema.
Atmospheres created by the interweaving of melodies between the saxophone and the trumpet, of harmonies between the piano and the double bass, of rhythms between the percussions and the sound effects. All strong flavoured tracks, different one from the other, but which are parts of the same menu. A menu expertly developed by the artistic director Mirko Fait and mixed with great care by Jorge Gonzalez. To conclude, the soundtrack of a film that has already moved us without having been seen yet.

La partecipazione è aperta a tutti i musicisti non professionisti residenti in Italia, di qualsiasi strumento musicale, che non abbiamo compiuto 35 anni di età.
I candidati dovranno far pervenire un CD (in duplice copia) contenente almeno 3 brani standard della tradizione jazzistica: 1 fast, 1 medium, 1 ballad eseguiti con qualsiasi formazione.
Le domande di iscrizione dovranno contenere i dati anagrafici, indirizzo di residenza, recapito telefonico, indirizzo e-mail, insieme ai CD, entro il 30 aprile 2010 al seguente indirizzo:

Il materiale spedito resterà di proprietà dell'organizzazione della rassegna.
La giuria sarà composta da

Stefano Bagnoli - Batteria;
un giornalista critico musicale;
Francesco Cafiso, musicista e direttore artistico del Festival;
Dino Rubino, musicista;
Carlo Cattano, musicista e didatta.
La semifinale si svolgerà nel chiostro di Palazzo Iacono sede del Comune di Vittoria mentre la finale sarà in Piazza Enriquez sul palco del Vittoria Jazz Festival.
La semifinale si svolgerà la sera di Giovedì del 16 Giugno 2010 alle ore 17,00.
La finalissima si svolgerà il Venerdì 17 Giugno 2010 alle ore 21,00.
In caso di rinuncia il partecipante selezionato dovrà dare tempestiva comunicazione agli organizzatori.
I musicisti selezionati dovranno obbligatoriamente esibirsi la sera della manifestazione e saranno accompagnati dalla ritmica sopra menzionata.
Ciascun concorrente potrà esibirsi suonando 2 brani standard a propria scelta della tradizione jazzistica.
Il concorrente che avrà ottenuto il punteggio più alto dalla giuria sarà proclamato vincitore del Premio Vittoria Rotary Jazz Award 2011.
Il vincitore, premiato a fine serata con una targa, riceverà una borsa di studio promossa dal Club Rotary di Vittoria di euro 2.500,00.
Inoltre il 1° classificato vincerà un concerto con cachet nella prossima stagione dell'Associazione Entertainer, di Modica, nella rassegna Note di notte.
Il secondo classificato, premiato a fine serata con una targa, riceverà una borsa di studio promossa dal Club Rotary di Vittoria di euro 1.500,00.
Il terzo classificato premiato a fine serata con una targa, riceverà una borsa di studio promossa dal Club Rotary di Vittoria di euro 1.000,00.

Winner at VideoQueer Festival 2010 with the music of the album Just for You.
"Sono sempre stata Chiara" (I have always been clear/Clare) the short film by Alessandro Daquino for Zerocinquefilm with the music by John Toso and Mirko Fait win VideoQueer 2010 Festival in Florence.
“Painting Dreams” and “Misunderstandings”, like this short movie, are unique through their smoothness and expressive intensity.
Zer05film presents a new short film by the young director Alessandro Daquino. The film, called “Sono sempre stata Chiara” (I have always been clear/Clare) deals with its theme in a modern and fascinating way.
More and more often, we hear about sexual ambiguity and sex change, but here the director talks about it in a particularly refined, subtle, original and even touching manner, digging into childhood memories, in the rapport between father and son that any one of us carries inside.
Based on a novel by Luigi Scardigli, “Dodici mesi per morire” (Twelve months to die), it is admirable for how it can, in just a few minutes, describe so much, expand the time in the listener’s mind. Yes, because this film is also to be listened to. Silences and words embroidered by a music which underlines and even intersects with the story and the feelings of the characters.
Characters played by actors like Valentina Chiarugi, Italo Dall'Orto and Luigi Scardigli himself who, with the staging of Lorenzo Vannucci and under the direction of Daquino, give the best of themselves in a few expressions and lines that tell everything.
The music, as mentioned, consists of two original pieces taken from the album “Just for You” (record label company: Italian Way Music) by the pianist John Toso and the saxophonist Mirko Fait.
“Painting Dreams” and “Misunderstandings”, like this short movie, are unique through their smoothness and expressive intensity.
“Sono sempre stata Chiara”, in the end, is a refined little work of art which deserves to be seen.
